Frequently asked questions
Should I count both the start and end day?
Depends on context. Notice periods and hotel nights typically exclude the end day; leave days and event durations usually include it.
How are leap years handled?
Automatically. Every 29 February in the range is counted as a real day.
Why isn't a month always 30 days?
Because calendar months are 28 to 31 days. The years-months-days breakdown follows the calendar, while the total-days figure is exact.
